What you’ll be doing:

This is by no means a “behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will help the company serve patients daily in a multitude of ways.

The Staff Accountant has the opportunity to join a dynamic market leader in the behavioral healthcare industry. ERC Pathlight is continually investing in industry leading technologies, levels of care, and expanding facilities nationwide. This will give you experiences with a wide range of accounting/finance concepts to help further your accounting career.

This role is responsible for maintaining assigned general ledger accounts and examining processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency in both day-to-day activities and monthly reporting. The General Ledger Accountant works closely with the accounting and finance team as well as various areas of the organization to ensure the company’s accounting records are timely and accurately recorded.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists in the month-end close process in a timely and accurate manner. This includes, but is not limited to, preparation of journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and reviewing assigned location and department P&L's.
• Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts.
• Prepares, files, and oversees annual personal property tax renditions.
• Prepares, files various sales and use tax reports.
• Reviews and posts daily cash activities.
• Reviews and posts various monthly accruals and prepaid amortization entries.
• Reviews and posts weekly credit card transactions.
• Reviews, posts, and supports accounts payable teams’ daily activities.
• Examines current processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency. Develops processes and procedures that support best accounting practices.
• Assists with various reporting needs and accounting analysis requests from management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting field. Public accounting experience a plus.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Good working knowledge of GAAP and multi-company/state financial reporting
• Strong attention to details; able to consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a high transaction volume environment efficiently and effectively.
• Experience in healthcare industry accounting a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central a plus

Compensation starting range for the Staff Accountant role is $65,000 to $80,000. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
