With 30 locations throughout the U.S. and treatment options available virtually, ERC Pathlight meets patients where they’re at to offer innovative, compassionate and comprehensive treatment for eating disorders, as well as mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders.

We were founded in 2008 by pre-eminent psychiatrists and psychologists and treat 6,000+ patients per year. With the critical need for mental health care and eating disorder treatment, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re looking for passionate and qualified professionals who will live out our mission to help save the lives of our patients.

What you’ll be doing

The National Family Outreach Liaison plays a vital role in advancing ERC Pathlight’s mission to provide the very best care to our patients and their families. As a key member of the National Family Outreach team, the Liaison leads the facilitation and continuous improvement of national family programming. This role ensures that families experience compassionate, high-quality, and consistent engagement throughout their loved one’s treatment journey. The Liaison applies independent judgment to develop solutions, align stakeholders, and drive initiatives that strengthen ERC Pathlight’s national family support strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of national family programming (e.g., education sessions, support groups, and special events). Evaluate program needs, select and prepare presenters, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate approximately 75% of national family programming, exercising discretion in guiding discussions, tailoring facilitation style to family needs, and ensuring sessions reflect clinical and organizational standards.
  • Serve as a strategic point of contact for families, applying judgment to identify needs, resolve concerns, and connect families with appropriate internal resources.
  • Facilitate recurring caregiver and family support groups, promoting engagement, ensuring compliance with care standards, and adjusting approaches based on group dynamics and participant needs.
  • Obtain and organize family engagement data, including survey results, attendance, and qualitative feedback, to assist in recommend improvements and inform long-term program development.
  • Act as liaison across Clinical, Operations, and Marketing teams, ensuring consistent messaging, strategic alignment, and effective coordination of family engagement resources.
  • Partner with the National Family Outreach Manager and Advocate on cross-functional initiatives, exercising judgment in setting priorities, solving complex problems, and supporting the strategic growth of family programming.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including working occasional evenings and weekends.

Must Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or Related Field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health, with a focus in family therapy, family education, or program coordination.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing and project management, with the ability to translate insights into program improvements and stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in complex situations, particularly in balancing family needs with organizational priorities.

  • Skilled in virtual facilitation, demonstrating a warm, engaging presence with diverse audiences. Proficient in Zoom and related digital platforms; ability to become proficient in Salesforce and other organizational systems.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and align diverse stakeholders to support shared organizational outcomes.

  • Professional presence with ability to facilitate sensitive conversations with families, clinicians, and executives.

Bonus Qualities

  • Graduate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or Related Field
  • Clinical mental health licensure (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Experience in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) training; ability to integrate evidence-based approaches into family programming.
  • Experience analyzing engagement data, interpreting trends, and applying insights to inform strategic program design and improvement.

The compensation range for the National Family Outreach Liaison role is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
