How you'll serve our patients:

The Onboarding Specialist delivers a seamless and positive onboarding experience for the candidate/teammate. This person is key in the retention of our teammates. Onboard Specialist ensures all required pre-employment tasks are completed and the teammate is ready for Day 1. This role will partner and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, IT and Facilities for successful onboarding. Responsible for accurate teammate data in our HRIS system. Is an advocate for process improvement within the onboarding process, constantly seeking ways to improve to make it a better experience for candidates and teammates; increase turnover and efficiency. Supports various other people operations projects

Role essential duties:

  • Ensures preemployment activities are completed by the candidate: signed offer letter, background check, drug test, and correct credentialing/licenses and certifications are submitted according to the requirements of the position. Regularly communicates with candidate and answers any questions they have. Sets clear expectations with candidates. Communicates with hiring managers if there are changes in anticipated start date. Verifies that managers have assigned swim buddies and are prepared for the candidates first day.
  • Accurately and with great attention to detail, enters all teammate information into HRIS/payroll system.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure new teammates have the required equipment, access, and workspace
  • Enters data into all other systems, such as training, rewards and benefits etc. Sets up their scheduled training per guidelines provided by VP of HR. Tracks completion of onboarding training.
  • Maintains HR and teammate files to ensure information is accurate, up to date, and adheres to applicable laws and accreditation standards.
  • Supports various HR projects and events such as open enrollment, performance reviews, system enhancements, and engagement surveys.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in previous HR position with focus on onboarding- Required
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple deadlines- Required
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and drive impactful solution- Required
  • Strong Excel knowledge with ability to create reports and PowerPoint to create and present professional decks- Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Required
  • Exceptional customer service skills- Required
  • Bachelors Degree- Preferred
  • SHRM or PHR certificate- Preferred

Compensation for the Onboarding specialist position ranges from $23.00- $32.00 and is based upon candidate experience and market evaluations.
