What you’ll be doing
In a corporate role at ERC Pathlight, you can expect to be a part of a team that not only drives the mission but introduces it to prospective patients, family members of those in need of care and medical professionals who refer their patients.
This is by no means a “behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways.
Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for the following but not limited to:
Submitting accurate and complete insurance claims in compliance with payer requirements, promptly.
Reviewing and correcting claim edits and rejections, timely.
Researching and resolving denials by working directly with payers and internal departments, which will include claim appeals
Identifying root causes of denials and escalating trends for correction or prevention.
Your Skills and Experience:
Healthcare revenue cycle experience (minimum 1-3 years, preferrable behavioral health, Commercial and Government Payers)
Knowledge of the insurance industry and third-party coding, reimbursement/claims payment practices/guidelines, denial and appeal management
Excellent internal and external customer service AKA “soft skills”
Sharp verbal and written communication skills
Relates comfortably with people across all levels and functions
Compassionate and customer-focused
Nimble learner- adapts to new technology and process quickly
Follows through on commitments and meets deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Must haves
High School Diploma/GED
Associates Degree - preferred
Essential Duties:
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in our Denver office (80230) and 2 days remote each week.
Outstanding AR follow-up and claims denial management
Troubleshoot reimbursement issues, report denial trends and underpayments
Support overall revenue cycle processes to achieve established targets and goals
Completion of special/specific assigned projects and other duties/tasks as assigned.

Compensation starting range for the Revenue Cycle Specialist III role is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
